Flashback - the view from the Botanical Gardens. Destination's at the opposite side of town.
First, head all the way to the end of Courtenay, the Embassy Theatre is your landmark. Take the Hill to the left. Forgot the name of the road. Was is Marjoram?
All I can remember is that the name of the road starts with an M. My memory is failing me. Cue to my Mom saying, "aiyo, so young and got memory problems already. Must take more gingko"
Dad might say "must eat more nuts and use your brains more. Play Brain Age - it trains your brain..."
On we go, up the hill.
What I left behind as I kept on hiking (no more turning back till I reach the summit...)
A view of the harbour. Getting better views...
A fountain in a middle of nowhere
Not easy to miss - the entrance to Charles Plimmer Park, and more importantly it's my route to the lookout point.
My half-day hike had really just started at that point. More pics for later k? Me go sleepy now. Nitey and TBC!
These landscape shots are fantastic - and good skylines too !
ReplyDeleteI think more New Zealanders should live in boathouses so that they do not have to worry so much on the next earthquake or aftershocks.
oh, the view gets better from here on! and one more thing, boathouses are no sure guarantee. You are forgetting about tsunamis...
