Moment of surrender

On to the 2nd half of the story. Let me start with myself taking a picture of someone taking a picture of Jay-Z.

at this point of time we were trying to get as close to the stage as possible. I kinda feel bad for the vertically challenged individuals in the crowd - some of them were stuck staring at sweaty backs throughout the concert. At times I had to stretch my neck but eventually I figured that jumping around crazy would get me the elevation I needed to holla at Bono.

As the clock smashed into smithereens, I recall David bowie's Space Oddity being played.

"Ten, Nine, Eight, Seven, Six, Five, Four, Three, Two, One, Liftoff!!!"

city of blinding lights. This was when the great performance went up another 5 notches. Mindblowing awesomeness!

one of the weirder moments in the performance. I don't even remember what song they played. It's all good though. They just can't do no wrong.

where the streets have no name. I've never thought of this song as a U2 masterpiece. Now I think that it could be one of my all-time favourite songs ever.

with or without you. One song that never grows old. It's all love.

I viewed the setlists from their previous concerts which had the moment of surrender as the closing song. Another one of those songs that I never thought much of and now it's in my head at every waking hour of the day. Gorgeous and melancholy.

Final comments? One helluva experience - the kind that makes the hair on your neck stand and the ends of your lips stretching to a wide maniacal grin :> For me it was one of those moments of deep giddy satisfaction - you'll know what I'm talking about when you experience it (if you haven't already), for shure.

What next? Perhaps U2's 720 degree concert :P
