Hello Wellington!

Finally got my chance to check out the popular Air NewZealand flight safety video, first-hand. If you haven't seen it yet, there's always Youtube:

20 mins from Wellington and while circling the bay, this is the view I get from the window seat on the 17th row.

Those white sticks at a distance are actually windmills. Wellington has gotta be windy if these are planted all over. But I did get awesome weather when I got there - bright sunshine and maybe about 2 degrees colder than Auckland.

Once I arrived at the airport, I was quite happy to take the AirportFlyer bus service from the airport to my new accommodation for 8 bucks. Supposed to have free wi-fi on the bus but it didn't work. Along the way I passed by my soon-to-be new workplace:

Here's how great the weather was when I arrived.

And here's how I celebrated my arrival - by wolfing down a big plate of pasta and a drink to pamper the palate (not wine but just some tasty cranberry juice).
