I had initially planned to log on at Starbucks with a nice cup of café latte, but they’re setup over here to charge for internet access @ $3 an hour.
Eventually I made my way to Columbus café after a nice tip from the man whom I bought my prepaid sim from. Was so pre-occupied with the internet (mail, facebook, soccernet, news) that I burned the rest of the day that was intended for bank work. Oh well :/
My highlight of the day was Myers Park. Just because I found the playground (in case you want to know what’s the fuss, it’s because of the make-do chin-up bars AND NOT the swings)!
Here's a view of the entrance to the park from the K-Road end. By the way, K-Road is short for Karangahape Road, where my hostel is located. Lotsa stories about this road, I'll save it for another time...
Ended up eating Chinese food at night at the Lim Supermarket & food court area, just to see how they go down over here. Bad idea - it went down Nasty!. The roast pork noodles soup was downright scary. If you guys/gals really wanna see how it looks like, I'll post it up on popular demand. Right now I'm not feeling like getting another bowl of that sheeet. Large portions enough to give them supermodels a heart attack.
